Dear friends,
I am a bit late in my Jyotish class and need to study once again the level II, at least to revise a few lessons. It would be ludicrous to study the new level without solid foundations : does somebody plan to record all the videos? (It was done for the first two levels)
Thanks!
Be victorious
That would certainly be useful. Not sure how people are able to record them? I’ve looked online but can’t seem to find a reliable way.
You haven’t missed anything yet Alex, the first lecture is next week. I did record the video lectures for the first two levels and I plan to do the same here (unless Veos requests otherwise, but he had no problems with it in the first two levels).
Michael, I use (OBS) Open Broadcaster Software and set it to record to a local file. Then I just capture the screen region where the video is on Spreecast. There’s no way to actually rip the file directly from Spreecast like you could with Youtube or most other video sites, they have it locked down pretty hard. So capturing your screen/audio is the only way to do it.
There is a browser called Torch that can download spreecast videos with just the click of a button
That’s interesting Guilherme, I haven’t heard of Torch before but I will try that out next time there’s a Spreecast to record. Up until now no browser or media download plugins that I’ve tried have worked with Spreecast. I just assumed Spreecast was doing something weird with the video format or their player, that blocks file ripping software somehow.
Another good one is FastStone Capture.
Thanks a lot Kevin, it will be very useful!
I just tested Guilherme’s suggestion of using the Torch browser, and it does work perfectly with Spreecast videos for anyone else who’s wondering!
Hello guys,
I missed quite a lot of videos, since I slow-at-pace in learning Jyotish. Has something saved all the videos on a file?
Thank you for your help!
I haven’t, but Veos planned to make an audio file of all the spreecast lectures or something like that. Hopefully it’ll be up soonish
Here’s a link to all the video lectures of this course:

And I’m sure everyone already knows this, but obviously these links should only be shared with the people who took this class.
